No matter, Janis and Tina are both worthy and this is pretty exceptional regardless.

Her voice was not fake, but the context was. She had already caused a sensation on the UK's Voice Kids. Simon knew exactly who she was and may well have been part of a plan to get her on this show knowing she would cause a sensation. This 'bussing' of talented contestants around the world to appear on different shows is now becoming common. The public are being duped into believing it's all spontaneous when it is anything but. In that sense, yes it is fake.
