It's like John Q Public 'cept my car is female. An unassuming little car.
But don't tell her that. She thinks she's fancy.

(25,586 posts)Its a fifteen-year-old Mitsubishi Lancer that I bought about ten years ago for four grand. Ive put probably that much into it over the last decade in repairs, which isnt too bad. Its got a quarter of a million miles on it and it still goes.
Its a bit gutless, has some rattles and odd behaviors, occasionally does this weird jumping thing when Im stopped, and leaks a fair amount of oil but that said it still runs!

(20,211 posts)A 2006 Scion xB, a little box on wheels. It's been a great car. No major work needed other than scheduled maintenance. Its boxy shape makes it great for hauling stuff. My only complaint is low ground clearance.

(25,586 posts)all the cars in the Scion line that Ive driven is that the turning radius is really enormous for such small cars. It doesnt match what Id expect from the short wheelbase.
Bulletproof little machines, though.

Good on you for taking such good care of her.

(7,649 posts)I purchased Christine brand new in 2003. She's now a fifteen year old Grand Prix with 144k miles.
At this moment, I'm not sure how much life she has left in her. I really wish she could repair herself and roll back the mileage.
