I have no idea why, but I just got into boots. I was itching to get some Frye Campus Side Zips, like I had in high school 40 years ago but ended up getting Lucchese Jonahs sued ropers and a pair of Viberg Service Boots. Chromexcel black. Both are awesome.
Anyone else have a boot thing going?

(11,746 posts)I got a little cocky about wearing the Vibergs. Horween leather is always comfy. I have Timberlands made from Horween and they had no break in time.
Alas I got a blister after a half mile or so. The Chromexcel is very thick on the Vibergs.
Some say breaking in is fun. I don't share that view,.Buzz, but 45 years to break in is impressive.

Right now, I'm really in to Joseph Abboud suede desert boots. I've got them in four colors: sand, black, gray, and tobacco brown. They're perfect for dressing up a pair of jeans, or dressing down a suit.
Knee-high leather boots for women have been around for ages. I wish they'd become popular for men. But I fear the resemblance to jackboots might be keeping that from happening.
