Man sets house ablaze while trying to kill spiders with a blowtorchA California man set his house on fire when he tried to kill spiders with a blowtorch.
The Fresno man was housesitting for his parents when he found black widows.
The second story and attic were damaged from the fire, but he was uninjured.
He was the only person home at the time.
This is not the first incident of its kind — earlier in January, a man in Redding, Calif., set his apartment ablaze while trying to kill a wolf spider with a blowtorch.
