This one entered my brain out of nowhere this morning and became today's earworm. Now it's yours. too. Cheers!

(11,802 posts)We were playing a casino and "Pokerface" from Lady Gaga was playing damn near on a loop. I was ready to kill myself! He said, "Four Sticks, dude! Just think of Four Sticks and it'll kill any earworm guaranteed. Of course, Four Sticks will hang around for awhile... " It's never failed me yet.
My personal cure song is just as bizarre and obscure as my earworm's tastes:

(3,433 posts)Through The Years.. makes me think about my mom and dad. It wasnt their wedding song, came out later but that song makes me think of just how much my dad means to my mother. She has struggled a lot with mental health, weight/health and substance abuse. My dad is always there for her and always has been. That man taught me what it meant to be a man, husband and a father. He is my hero and I dont mince words. So of course Mike and The Mechanics causes tears. Though we share our feelings freely I still can't imagine him not being around.

Then I'll continue my day looking at everyone with Dalai Lamaish compassion and tenderness.
I'm a curmedgeon but this it's my heartworm.
Whatever works.
