What do you do when someone you have to deal with just doesn't get the message?

In my case, I'm specifically thinking of my once-a-month cleaning woman. I've asked her to pay attention to the woodwork around doorknobs and clean when necessary. She does for a while, then forgets. I'm probably on my 10th note over the last two or three years. Is there anything I can do besides just leaving notes?

What are your most annoying "doesn't-get-the-message" issues?

She'd get two chances from me. After that, I'd find a new cleaning woman. Glorfindel Nov 2018 #1

That's for people working for me. For family, friends, etc., I just avoid them or change the subject when they don't get the message. Really good question, by the way!

and walk her through it. No notes - she’ll get how much it means to you. Ask her not to do anything else until she checks that first.
Probably has a set routine and does forget.
If she starts with that..........
