(112,230 posts)Why can't I keep the light in my refrigerator working?
The light in the refrigerator gave out about a year ago and although I have repeatedly replaced the bulb it would only work for a short while before going out again. Over the past few months the refrigerator section also kept getting to the point that food was freezing and I was throwing food out.
After reporting it this week to the apartment manager, the handyman came by and determined that the thermostat was out, so he replaced the unit containing both the light bulb and thermostat, so let there be light! And some gratitude that the insulin hasn't frozen.
Now tonight, the light in the refrigerator isn't working again. I changed out the bulb and the light still isn't working. Why!!!?

FWIW, the passion fruit juice thawed enough that I could mix it with the vodka.

(66,381 posts)Maybe investigate the quality of the brand of lightbulb you're using?

(112,230 posts)Two of the bulbs were from this apartment, while the other was brought in by the handyman when he fixed the unit. It just seems odd that it worked for about 8 or 9 hours, then it quit.
Of course with the handyman coming by, it also meant that it was time to clean the refrigerator out. I ended up with two tall kitchen bags of food that was either frozen, the wrong consistency, or emulsions that separated. Gack! There were also a few items that reached the perishable dates by a few months. On a positive note, I already disposed of the food that expired in 2017.

OSHA made the tiny man wear a hard hat due to the occupational hazards. The fridge had so much ice in it that the tiny man's cheeks first turned blue then he completely froze his ass off.
The NLRB will be conducting arbitration to work towards a settlement.
