Husband and I honeymooned in NOLA 50 years ago 12/13/68. One of the last places we went before traveling back home was Cafe Du Monde. Gotta watch out for the powdered sugar or you’ll wear it for the rest of the day!

I didn’t like the coffee they served there in my youth, but my tastes changed over the years. Our last visit to NOLA this past June I found it quite tasty. The beignets are still wonderful. That has not changed!

I swear that grease is the same stuff they used when I was a teenager and went there every weekend. And it’s amazing. If you don’t come away covered in powdered sugar you’re not doing it right.
