Many of my regular reads are going to have to go. The New Yorker was the most recent. Talking Points Memo, The Daily Beast, tvnewser ratings.
Anybody else notice this? I think it's a sign that Trump's days are numbered.

But enterprises have to make money if they want to stay in business, and I guess if what they're publishing is important to you, you pay the price of a subscription, just like you would for a "Paper" newspaper, news magazine, celebrity magazine, etc. After all the New Yorker was not a free magazine before it went online.

(23,668 posts)They are too expensive. When I had a Vanity Fair subscription, it included both the hard copy and on-line access. Most on-line publications have advertisements, which I assume the publication gets a flat fee plus some type of payment based on the number of views, but I doubt that pays for all the salaries and overhead expenses to keep their publication going. With all the news /information media out there, it's become very competitive.
