Fortunately I was getting relocated for work and my employer had a program that bought my home. I found out later they had it on the market for months and had to sell it for way less than they gave me for it.

when I told them to shut their damn dogs up. I ended up selling my house to a family with 5 kids, so I hope they got a little karmic payback

One of the few exceptions is a "for sale" sign. The house is not really for sale; this is just a way of getting around the town ordinance regarding signs.
