The little fox likes to visit them all the time.BY SARAH V SCHWEIG
The rescued bears living at a sanctuary in Bulgaria may have deeply painful pasts, but that doesnt prevent them from sharing the fruits of their sweet new lives literally.
The bears at Four Paws' Dancing Bear Park Belitsa were rescued from "dancing."
They were torn from their moms when they were just cubs and "trained" by being forced to stand on burning hot metal until they lifted up their paws, making it look like they were dancing. They had holes pierced through their noses and chains threaded through the holes so that they could be controlled when they performed.

Where, before, the bears were fed garbage, now they enjoy fresh fruit and nutritious food. And they've even started to share with a wild fox, who has become a regular visitor.

It starts to seem like the fox would be less inclined to socialize with the bears, if it werent for the food. (Thats a pattern that transcends species: Weve all been that person at a party.) But the fox's interest doesnt seem to be entirely culinary. He was recently spotted lounging around by the bears pool, as if waiting to hang out. The apples are just a perk.

(17,235 posts)1. Animal behavior never ceases to amaze.
Some human behaviour absolutely sickens me. Thankfully the bears have been saved and provided a decent life in addition to picking up a friend who likes to hangout!

Human cruelty to others, as well as animals is shocking. How anyone could participate in that cruelty just shocks me.

Advanced the so called brain, the potentially crueler the psyche.
There are absolutely hideous human beings everywhere. Thankfully, others are capable of immense good, literally saving the world~from the intense deceit, guile and treachery of their fellow humans. The biggest battle, by far.
Animals, even the dangerous, are essentially purer and more honest.
