I've never had anything except cheap Android phones, the latest the best I've ever had but still cheap, a Motorola G4. But my wife, who always has iphones, needs a new one and TMobile had a buy one get one free deal so here I am waiting for the new phones to be delivered and am wondering whether I will like it.
Just wondering what others who moved from Android to iphone thought of it.

(5,174 posts)Everything syncs, so far no viruses, user friendly, tech support as needed.
I have the iPhone 6s and have no plans to upgrade, works just fine and syncs with my iPad and MacBook. I travel all the time now and its all light, easy to pack and carry. I have had no issues since I finally abandoned the Nokia in Dec 2015.

I'm sure you can do all that on Android, but it just never seemed intuitive to me. Plus, I actually hear better on the iphone. I think mine is an 8 or something like that.

Then, I stuck with the flip phone for years before getting a "smart" phone.
In any event, the iphone has worked out so much better than my old Androids.

(4,919 posts)When Steve Jobs returned to a failing Apple in the late 1990's, he became the interim CEO or "iCEO" for short... When he began kicking ass, he introduced the "iMac" as his first product as iCEO... In that case, the "i" stood for internet because that was becoming a thing around that time. The "i" stuck around for any consumer-level internet connected product Apple created... iMac, iBook, iPod, iPhone, iPad, iTunes, iPhoto, iCal, etc. The "Pro" suffix was used for professional level products like MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, and now iPad Pro, etc.
