Absolutely nothing more pathetic

I confess, I don't have a smart phone (can't afford it).

I don't have a cell phone (can't afford it)

It's terrible if you're on your phone when you're driving... it's dangerous for everyone involved.

But it's really sad if you can't put your phone down to take a poo.

I had to give it up.... we don't have the money.

The point wasn't whether or not I have a phone. Well, maybe it is. I guess what I'm saying that even if I had a cell phone, I could leave it behind to go poo.

Used to be, that you didn't live your life on the phone. If it rang and you weren't home (or if you were on the crapper), then you missed a call.

OH THE HORROR!!!!!

How did we ever manage?????

I refused to get one until 2003 when my car broke down and I was stranded. Luckily a nice person came to my aid and called a tow truck. After that I bit the bullet and brought one. I sometimes forget it at home though. Cell phones have wrecked dinners ,family gatherings and relationships. They are a blessing and curse.

A lady almost side swiped me the other day while talking on her cell phone. Shook me up a bit.

I had a disabled son who I left alone while I visited my elderly Mother. So when I was with one the other was alone. Don't even make me think about when I was out doing essential shopping.

9. Keeping it w/ you in case of emergency is one thing

what I'm talking about is something completely different.

My guy was "checking his apps" while on the toilet today. I'm sorry.

Before cell phones some people used to take a newspaper into the bathroom w/ them.

I admit it.. I'm judgement about this.

I guess I'm just hoping that there is some segment of human life that should exist w/out any form of "smart" technology.

strictly as an emergency device that I kept in my car.

I didn't own a smart phone until I returned to the States in 2006. I rarely use mine today. Most calls I just let go to "Missed" status.

I've seen people on phones when they're driving (illegal here in NY State), pumping gas(!), or even shopping for groceries. What do they find to talk about?? I've only had one since 2012 and when I'm out and about I usually leave mine in my car.

14. I have a smart phone. I use it for very occasional phone calls and gps.

I literally go for a month or more at a time without doing anything more with it than pulling it out of my pocket for a charge.

I still get weird looks from people when I tell them "I don't text". If you want to talk to me. You know my phone number (or maybe not, I don't care).

Maybe I am just antisocial or something, but I have no desire nor inclination to involve myself in silly things like sharing a picture of my coffee with everyone I ever met.

One cell that no one except spouse knows the # and use it for texts only.

I guess I'm not the sociable sort except here!
