2018 was going along well up to the end. A new granddaughter was born in October and I decided to retire to be the FT caregiver to her and my other 2 grandkids. My son has a wonderful girlfriend and they’re getting engaged soon. Came into a modest inheritance and paid off all our debts except the mortgage. Thanks Dad.
Then December came. My widowed sister-in-law, who I love dearly, is again in the hospital and probably should go to a nursing home. My cousin was found dead at home on Christmas Day. And my daughter, with the 3 little kids, and her husband are separating. Those kids really need me now.
So Happy New Year, hope it gets better from here. One good thing, after the recent election I think our country’s on the right path.
