13 years ago, Erin Merryn met a ginger kitten who needed a home. He leapt into her arms and refused to let her go.
Now over a decade later, the cat named Bailey is still with her. He has become the guardian angel to her children and shares an amazing bond with her 4-year-old daughter Abby.

In fact, "Bailey" has a book coming out in April! He's 14 now.
I also found out Bailey's mom is Erin Merryn of " Erin's Law" fame. She is a sexual abuse survivor, advocate and has written 3 books.
Edit - Bailey passed away on Dec 8th of kidney failure.

(20,205 posts)is the little girl isn't really "reading" the book, but she is telling her story to the kitty while turning the pages, and the kitty is just the picture of pure BLISS.

(51,581 posts)Kids are relaxed and not afraid of mispronouncing words, so they read longer.
Kitties are never judgmental to those learning to read...except when the kitty wants food, LOL
