(38,958 posts)I have only gotten 2 today so far. Both were listed as Scam Likely on the cell phone. I don't pick up unless I know the number.

(149,726 posts)We don't answer them, ever. Our answering machine picks up and then there's silence. They never leave a message.
We don't hear them after we go to bed either; our bedroom phones are turned off.
It works.

(38,958 posts)the bedroom even long ago before this was ever a problem. Whatever it is can wait until I get up to deal with it.

(4,228 posts)When someone tries to call the message says if you are not a telemarketer press 8. We have not had one robo call or telemarketer since we started the service a year ago.
It has been wonderful!

There was an easy function on-line at AT&T which stops most of the calls. I was getting 5-10 a day, now maybe one a day, but they show up as: suspected spam, telemarketer or unknown, and it doesn't let the caller leave a message. I never answer unless it is someone I know.

(1,563 posts)We've been on the "Do Not Call" list since the beginning, and it's made no difference. If some Attorney Generals would enforce it, they'd get re-elected almost unanimously.
