Unlike that shit in the market that tastes like sweetened pancake batter.

Not big on cocktails, but had a few pisco sours in Peru that weren’t bad.

My friend's wife is from Peru and they visit there on occasion and he loves the Pisco.

It sounds interesting to me even though i'm 80% beer and the rest is usually scotch.

It's just the particular type that's produced in South America.

I do venture into brandy occassionally, but usually calvados, cognac, or apple brandy made in the US. The more higher end Pisco I sampled in Peru compared well to the better of any of those. I'm not sure how good the stuff is that's imported to the US as I've never bought or tried any.

I bought a couple of tiny bottles of Inca Pisco many years ago in Vegas. I still have the bottles and I just discovered they are now collectors' items. I thought the brandy was quite tasty and have never been able to find it again.

Always amazed at the things I find on DU...
