Look at how thin she is - but NCAA teams constantly put their gymnasts in ill-fitting leos. Throw in awful camera angles (especially on floor and beam) and sometimes all you get are booty shots.

It's been discussed on podcasts before, these women have amazing bodies, but even the skinniest have high cut leos and suffer from bad camera angles. One gymnast from Alabama I think, had hers riding almost thong like during a beam routine and you can't pull it out during competition.

I personally wish they were given the option for shorts or leggings if they wish. Dance teams all wear pants or shorts. Or old style leos from the 70s that covered the butt better.


I'm from the gymnastics world and the "leotard issue" definitely affects girls once they hit middle school and switch sports.


That said, her viral video was so great - I probably watched it 10 times.
