As some of you know, I make and sell pussyhats (a few of you here have been customers of mine-- thank you) and this forum encouraged me to open an Etsy store with them.
Well on Saturday, I was at the NYC Women's March and I saw a mother/daughter pair wearing hats with a yarn I am very familiar with. I asked them where they got them and they mentioned an Etsy store. The daughter told me her first name and I recognized her as a customer of mine (I only had 1 transaction where I sold 2 of that hat to 1 person). She told me her experience was great and asked me for more cards.
It was such an awesome feeling seeing my work out in the wild.

(1,975 posts)Kitty loves it too, when I forget to put it on its hook in the cabin, she sleeps on it.
It's a rainbow! Such great work; it'll last way longer than I will! Ears warm at 30 below? Got that covered. I share with lots of neighbors (such as they are, 2 or so acres apart) and don't doubt a few will be sporting some of your designs.

(4,492 posts)It reallymeans a lot to me. Trying to remember which hat it is.

(1,975 posts)You don't need compliments, you KNOW you're good! But I have to fight kitty for it if she claims it first!
It's gorgeous. Bought it a while back (I don't do time well) and I can brag my ears are warm when it's 20 below!

(4,492 posts)If I was owned by a furry one right now, I'd make him/her a cat sized pussyhat.

(46,705 posts)Most of the pussy hats that I have seen at the protests look like they are rectangular in shape. There was one on your page that distinctly shows the cat ears. Are these two different patterns?
Stargazer09
(2,132 posts)A couple of small stitches at the base of the ears makes all the difference.

(4,492 posts)When I put mine on (and the hats on my styrofoam head), I fold down the corners to make the cat ears.
I've seen other (mass produced ones) that look more like rabbit ears than cat ears and are not very attractive.

(6,591 posts)Where I used to live, years ago, there was a college radio station that had an independent music program where they played unsigned artists & local bands. I sent them some of my recordings & wouldn't you know it, they played a few on their program.
I listened to the show whenever I could & I'll never forget the feeling of hearing my songs on the radio! It was very cool.

(4,492 posts)I hope it is working out for you and I apologize in advance if I messed up a little). The first was a birthday present for a friend but in black.
Also IIRC you are owned by a gray tabby (or have posted pics of one). I have a soft spot for them.
The Velveteen Ocelot
(115,686 posts)I can actually wear it! I do have a gray tabby - more gray than tabby; his stripes are rather muted and are most visible on his arms. He also has a little white spot on his throat and the middle toe on his left front paw is also white. He is the world's loudest cat; I suspect he has a Siamese ancestor.

(23,980 posts)...one of your hats last year, and didn't "get a round tuit." I have a big head (when I joined the Air Force nurse corps, I needed the next-to-the-largest size hat available.
Would I need to custom order and provide you with a head measurement?
crazycatlady
(4,492 posts)I can make a larger one, just let me know which yarn you would like (I have about every skein of pink yarn that a place like Michael's or AC Moore sold). If need be, I can take pictures and send them to you.

(23,980 posts)When I first needed a screen name, we had 3 cats. Then 4. Then 5. Unfortunately, we are back to 3. If I weren't married, I'd probably have 8, and could be a contender for your screen name.
Shall I PM you my head measurement? And, if you don't mind, I'd be happy to see some of the shades of pink that you have. I prefer medium rose shades with a blue rather than an a peach undertone.
Thnx - I look forward to doing business with you.
