He's such an adorable little doggie, his first family must have been heartsick to have lost him.

pets with their people. I think it's a crime these days to not microchip your pet. It's not that expensive and it helps so much. I've got my two spoiled rescue cats chipped even though they are strictly indoor cats. If some disaster were to happen and they got out, I'd have a much better chance to find them.

I'd say he definitely belonged to someone who loved him at one time. I've heard of, and seen, instances of people dying, and the relatives don't want their pets. So they dump them.

So glad the right people found him. And those people were also most kind to a homeless man.
