(33,034 posts)5th/center burner sounds good for the multi people cooking you do.
Kenmore's center burner looks like it could quickly heat a large pot.
Kenmore would be my choice.
I'm sure leaning to that. (and even looking at the equivalent "Elite" model - what is a couple hundred more if I am blowing that much money? )

(3,268 posts)a drop in range top and pair that with a good quality countertop convection oven. I paired my countertop with a full gas stove but usually use the countertop. Easier to see and MUCH easier on the back plus the benefits of a good controlled bake.

(55,019 posts)I have never used a convection oven so I really don't know what I am doing or if I want it at all, I do remember baking with electric (drier heat) is different than gas. trying to get a good crisp "oven fry" on regular or sweet potatoes pretty much sucks with the current gas oven.

(3,268 posts)Air fryers actually are just small convection ovens-for a good crisp outer its best to give your food a light spritz of oil. I included a link that describes many common features. The only caveat is that if you bake a lot make sure the one you buy will take a 9 x 13 pan-many like the one at the link) are only 12". Best of luck>
