IT person from work asked what password I was using to log in when I got kicked out of the system.

PSA: don't make your work password "Jesusfuckingchrist1!"

even if it complies with protocol of a capital letter, a number, and a special symbol.

I hate having to remember, change every 90 days, and don't reuse old passwords.....

Can I just get a chip implanted in my head or use a retinal scanner like they do in Hollywood?

when the bosses wanted to get into her computer I had to tell them the password was "motherfuckers."

They thought she really loved her job!

and all those other numbers/capitals/special things so yeah, mine is a sentence of sorts but my next one will definitely be a more "colorful" one and I just hope they have to ask me...they would most likely be disappointed in me if it _wasn't_ colorful. I was a known huge fan of our old CEO who routinely dropped F bombs in his presentations and whatnot.

4. 90 days, 4 passwords

Spring2019
Summer2019
Fall2019
Winter2019

Since you may not get to change them exactly on 90 day increments, you can add
"Vacation2019" and "Xmas2019" to pad each year a bit. Every once and a bit you can add "LeapYear" if you want.
(And yes, some systems will demand that you use "Fall-2019" or "Fall@2019" etc.)

Next year, repeat with obvious change. You only have to "remember" 4 and really you only have to look at a calendar.
(For what it's worth, I can't use the system any longer because of length demands the company created).

I don't want to know anyone's passwords.

Their was a time in my misspent youth I was really good at picking up passwords or the combination to door locks as people entered them, without noticeably watching.

When we were touring colleges with our kids, I was somewhat surprised to discover they'd developed, on their own, the same skill.

Hopefully they never used these skills with evil intent, though I'm certain they got up to some mischief.

Every site or system has different requirements for length, numbers, special characters, capital letters, whatever.

I actually have an excel file for all of my passwords.

Sometimes I use the middle name of a relative and perhaps the year they were born or the day of the month they were born. Once when I told an IT guy that he was horrified. Thought it would be easy to hack. I pointed out he had no clue what my dead mother's middle name was, let alone her birth date. And I doubt it's findable on line, either.

It syncs with my ipad and laptop.

Once you get in the habit of using it, updating it with new passwords, you get a real piece of mind.

I DO print off a hard copy every six months or so and put it in a secured location, just in case...

Here's the one I use:

Recently 90 day password needs difficult.
I use a familiar phrase with an imbedded 3 digit number. Entire phrase ending in another static numeric and special character.
Since I’ve got 2-3 years before the pasture I won’t run out of numbers to use

I've shown my oldest son and executor of my will where it is so he will be able to access various sites when I'm gone.
