Bonnie and Clyde

I watched the Highwaymen on Netflix, very good movie with Woody H. and Kevin C., and it made me want to revisit the Bonnie and Clyde movie with Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway.

And Netflix just added it this month!

So yippee if you, too, are hungering for a re-watch.

It had me remembering the sequence of events in the Bonnie and Clyde movie. At the end it showed some of the photographs of the real Bonnie and Clyde. The scene at the end where the mob of fans rush the car with their bodies still in them is shown in one of the photos at the end.

It made me think of how the first movie depicted them as folk heroes all the way to the end. Like Mario Puzo’s The Godfather and the movies depicted the mob as sympathetic.

It’s a bit of a jolt to see them depicted as the murderers they really were.
