The motel was a movie set, and where it was is now on Universal’s back lot. (The House is still there, and is one of the big stops on the studio tour.) There’s a scene at a car lot where Marion bullies a car dealer into selling her a car right fucking now...that car lot is now a BMW dealer.

The shower scene was bad enough. But I darn near had a heart attack over the stuffed old lady in the rocking chair.

and gave me a deep, lifelong distrust of birds. That movie freaked me the hell out. Beaks and feet, man. They give me the willies.

My bird issue has gotten a lot better. Having goofy (and flightless, lol!) chickens helped immensely, but it did take me a while to warm up to them. It's still a big oh, hell no on parrots and macaws, though. And hearing a large group of birds cawing and chattering still makes me freeze up for a split second.

way in. 28 years later I saw a video of the just the end of that movie...I am glad I left....Now, it was a terrifying film, but who was the director?..Did that director know how to make a terrifying film...

Yes, he did. And that terrifying film did not have to have monsters, or the world being blown up. It was an indoor job. With music, and light, and cinematic tricks to scare the sh*t out of you. Yes, that one is a great film. No I don't want to watch the entire thing...thank you...another time..maybe in one hundred years..ok?

..Repeat...NO, YOU CANNOT PAY ENOUGH TO GET ME TO WATCH THAT MOVIE...
...well.....maybe ten thousand dollars will do???
