I have noticed a steady increase in the price of gas recently. It affects me surprisingly little, as I drive a Honda Fit, which gets 35+ miles to the gallon, and since I generally only need to get gas every third week or so, unless I'm on a road trip, it's not that much of a wallet issue for me.
Those who have long daily commutes are noticing, however.

(24,317 posts)The price of pretty much everything will rise with the price of gas. I'm already noticing it in the grocery stores.

(205,850 posts)I belong to GasBuddy - keep track of local prices - and it's gone up even more dramatically in other states - and also in Canada. Prices typically go up at the start of the season when they switch to the less polluting "summer blend," but it's never gone up so much so fast recently and there doesn't appear to be an end in sight.
