I really dont understand what people are complaining about. That was phenomenal.

(6,709 posts)In my view, Jon Snow is the clear hero of the tale and is it to much to ask that the show writers allow him to do heroic deeds instead of being bailed out all the time? They should have allowed him to slay Viserion before Arya offed the Night King.
My two cents

(90,787 posts)It isn't winning everything in every way that makes them a hero. It's how they win and how they lead. How they inspire.

I just don't think it was too much to ask for him to slay Viserion instead of yelling at him.

Honor. Loyalty. Family. Friends.
Traits that can get you killed in the game of thrones.
I think since they've gone beyond the books, Weiss & Benioff haven't been sure what to do with both Jon Snow and Tyrion.

(9,145 posts)I'm back to dreading what lies ahead. Since Bran revealed no special gift of purpose, I feel anxious.

(2,273 posts)My GF and I were at a hotel last night for an event and were thrilled they had HBO Go so we could watch the episode after our event ended. Unfortunately the TV at the hotel was not that great for watching the episode which was extremely dark so we were both like, wtf is going on we cant see anything. Anyways when we got home tonight, I made sure to calibrate the brightness on my TV to insure we would get to watch it again in all its glory and all I can say is wow. HBO did an amazing job, it was spectacular to watch and seeing Arya become the baddest warrior of all of Westeros was nothing short of amazing. She is my favorite character in the books and in the series because while all the characters fight because they have too, she fights because she wants too. She is the true warrior who trained for this from the beginning. Honestly, I seriously hope the season ends with her sitting on the Iron Throne.

Not sure how she'll end up but as long as she is well and alive - all good.

(2,273 posts)She is the favorite character for Parris who is George RR Martins wife. She told him if Arya were to die in his books she would leave him. Not saying he would spare her just because she is his wifes favorite character but he has not exactly been writing the final books either.
