As food street vendors sold - something the lower class could afford and eat quickly and was looked down upon for the longest time. So what they're eating is probably close to that.

as I'm rather fond of Pizza Hut, but frozen pizza is genuinely awful. Over the years I've occasionally tried it and tried to doctor it up to be edible, but it simply isn't.

Perhaps more to the point, because I fix most things from scratch, I really notice the chemical taste of most frozen foods.

And even though many chain restaurants are not preparing from scratch, they tend not to have the awful chemical taste in their food. Maybe the pre-prepared meals haven't been frozen or treated with the chemicals.

Technically, it was a sfinciunni, but turned out great. Thanks for posting this. Very funny. I have to learn Italian. The most musical language on earth!

Sadly, my pizza options are now limited to brands with no cheese/dairy-free cheese and I'm grateful those are available now.
