I gave one fingertip CPR yesterday after she stunned herself flying into my window. Now, we are nose to nose with hummingbirds whenever we step out onto our porch! These came out en force after the rains abated somewhat. Faith!

On edit: I live in Oklahoma

I put the feeder out the last week of April, in case but the last couple years the first has come exactly on May 4.

to see a hummingbird at my feeder last week! I live NE of Philadelphia, and because I was ill this winter I didn't take in the feeder, so it's *old* sugar water in it--but this guy keeps coming back for more. I think it's the same one, a male, and this week when we had work done on the window and had to take the feeder down, he came back and harassed the window installers! I had to move the feeder away from the window, and I don't think he's found it yet.

It's been *so* cold! I'm used to seeing these guys much later in the year.

PS I think maybe the old sugar water fermented, and I'm getting this hummingbird drunk.

I'll go to my supermarket for a feeder. They usually carry them this time of year...

no takers yet... we wait (not so) patiently... I put feeders both in the front of the house and the back because they fight so... I used to place them close together and the bullies kept chasing others away

my bees finally are coming out today I was beginning to worry because it has been so cold and rainly

I don't have a feeder, and usually only see one or two after honeysuckle is out.

DO have osprey sitting on eggs here, tho!
