I need to hire a helper.

After 4 + years my electrical contracting business is almost overwhelmed. But I keep hearing I need Mitt or Scott Walker and huge tax breaks before anyone can " create" a job?

Get real people, (well, DU people, you are real), most jobs are created one or two at a time by guys or gals like me. They can me moved from state to state in the hundreds or thousands by "corporate" welfare. But, small business' drive the economy. One job at a time.

Nobody hires people because they got a tax break. Demand is the only thing that creates jobs. It's a simple concept, but one that seems to escape wingnuts.

no matter how much cash you were rolling in if you didn't have a whole lot of customers out there waiting for you to do some work for them, paying customers.

The economy works from the bottom up, always has, always will.

How can you possibly create a job when things are sooooo uncertain??? From everything I've seen on the teevee, you'd have to be some kind of super seeing-into-the-future person or something to create a job when you don't have any iron-clad guarantees about the future, which is a super scary place to think about without tax cuts to comfort us.
