Anyone use TracFone? Getting lots of Update messages
Wasn't sure where to post this, so figured the Lounge would do.
For about a month now, my phone has been getting texts from 58038 with the usual "Your phone requires 1 or more updates..." message. The second text with the download never comes, though.
I've checked in Settings and there are no updates available. On average, I'm getting 2 texts a day. An internet search didn't turn up any relevant info or people on forums asking about the same issue.
Anyone else having this annoying issue?
Forgot to add: it's a ZTE on My Family Mobile.

I'm good about hard rebooting my iPad once a week but always forget about my phone. Will do it now.
but it's been about 24 hours since the restart (and I did a 2nd one this morning for good measure) and, so far, no new update texts.

owned by TracFone (I think or the other way around). I had the crummy ZTE Comrade phone but dropped it a while back, thank the FSM (flying spaghetti monster) it busted the screen into bits. Now I have the Total Wireless Samsung S7 Crown and for a two year outdated phone it is much better, faster and more memory than the ZTE.
I have been getting a number of texts about updates (I keep auto update turned off) but in my case it is because I keep the wireless off quite a bit (only updates when the wifi is on and there do seem to be actual updates for my apps), I actually want to use data for streaming Pandora whilst I drive around...doesn't use much and through the little blue tooth connector I bought for my old car radio it works great...between Pandora and NPR I'm covered...sorry about so many words....hope you figure it out.
