Those of us in Kansas City are in our second hour of weather coverage. Lots of tornados, hail, wind and rain. Important stuff, impacting 100,000 +/- people. It is pretty boring. I will record NCIS at 12:35.

for 6 years. We were in the basement a number of times hoping the tornado warning would fizzle. It always did during the years we were there.

6 in St. Joseph, MO and 6 in Lincoln, NE. Never experienced a tornado until after we moved to North Carolina. One Sunday afternoon in April we were at a matinee performance of the ballet in downtown Raleigh. Stage lights went out and performance stopped. An announcement was made for everyone to stay seated. Then we heard the freight train. Honest to God it really does sound like a freight train. Went right over us. We had parked in an open lot surrounded by trees. I figured my car was destroyed. Nope! Not a scratch. Trees down all over the place, but not on any of the cars in the lot. Poor parking attendant told us he had nowhere to go and rode it out hunkered down between 2 cars.

We later saw photos of buildings in the path of the tornado which had come up the road on the way downtown from the freeway ( we went the other direction to get home). It was a mess. Buildings destroyed. Roofs gone. Quite an experience.

PTSD.

I've never been the same since the morning I discovered our house was on fire when I'd gotten up to go the bathroom at 4:30 am.

I started from the beginning a while ago waiting for the last season. I am at the end of season nine. I might get it in order by the time I get done.
