There are regulations for EVERYTHING

From the USTRANSCOM (US Transportation Command, a 4 star functional Joint Service command in charge of logistics for all DOD) Chief of Staff.

By the way, USTRANSCOM Headquarters are 21 miles from St Louis

QUESTION
Sir, In light of the recent victory of the home town hockey team. I reviewed the USTRANSCOM Policy Directive 36-38, Section D, Paragraph 5, which states: ”“Spirit wear” (e.g., shirts or jerseys reflecting support of an athletic team during a tournament or the playoffs) must be tasteful and approved by TCCS in advance., “ I respectfully request the authorization of hockey “spirit wear” during the NHL finals for the entire staff.

REPLY
Mr. Stout, We appreciate your question and admire the passion of those supporting their favorite sports teams. In accordance with PD 36-38, I approve of "Spirit Wear" on game days for the duration of the 2019 Stanley Cup finals.
May the best team win.
