Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI wrote a sonnet on the day of Trump's inauguration
I fear it has proven all-too-accurate:
Dorito-hued shit gibbon, pustule vile
Upon the ass of our Republic fair:
Your tiny hands, insipid, vapid smile,
Ill-fitting suits, and Charybdian hair
Recall to me the basest primate goons;
But neither noble ape nor chimpanzee --
No: rather howler monkeys, brute baboons
Cavorting wild in one another's pee.
And how we loathe, who hold this country dear,
To see you lurch to Presidential state
Where Washington, where Lincoln, made so clear
The wisdom that becomes the magistrate.
And now I only fear how much I'll miss
Those days when your worst story was your piss.
