But the fortunate news is, the bum knee and suspected broken toe(s) are both a part of the same limb.
Yes, I am a walking disaster.

I'm thinking I might need morphine for these toes.

(34,136 posts)The tape will keep the bones from shifting and the other toes will kind of act like a splint.
I've had lots of broken toes and this is what the doctor did the first time - so every other time I saved the trip to the doctor and just taped my toes together.
Of course, it depends on which toes are broken - little toes (stepped on by horses) pretty much healed on their own. The second toe (dropped sewing machine on it - twice) got taped to the third toe - the big toe moves too much.
If the big toe is broken, you might want to get a splint for it to immobilize it - https://www.amazon.com/Broken-Toe-Wraps-Splint-Straightener/dp/B07PH6XFCQ/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=toe+splint&qid=1562208977&s=hpc&sr=1-8

I am a veteran of broken toes and truly believe if an x-ray was taken of my feet, all of my toe bones would look like jig saw puzzles.

(26,268 posts)I've actually been using my grandfather's cane. At this point it's probably more of a security than an actual necessity.

Maybe I should start encasing my feet in bubble wrap.
