it nearly cooks my weenie. It toasts the buns nicely, though.

Then on a bun with the kraut, mustard, relish (and sometimes ketchup - ducking brickbats here)

...but i only consume maybe one a year...But I have to admit i will eat 2-3 at a sitting when Im visiting my friends in RI and we get one of those Rhode Island New York System Weenies. MY O MY! I even bought some of the hot pink ones and the seasoning and served them at my (Pacific Northwest) Thanksgiving. Thank gawd my guests were kinda high by dinner time....cuz EVERYTHING tasted good!

In summer I grill them outside, or in my broiler the rest of the year.

Hot dogs are a different story...I usually boil them, but sometimes I'll fry them in a pan.

We usually tell them their services are no longer needed. If there has been theft or treason, on the other hand, we can always fire up the grill, but that is always a last resort.

Even if it's on the stovetop with a grill pan, that's the only way for me!

If I feel like making the effort, I'll grill them. If I'm in a hurry - like a quick lunch - I'll microwave them.
