and then I couldn’t get my text message app to work. So, yeah. It kills electronics. The tech support person said other people had been mentioning it too.

I found a freeze plug that corrosion had eaten a hole through behind the alternator support today.
The only real problem is it will probably rain until Monday, so even if I get the part, I'll have a hard time getting to fix it.

I had to accompany my mother-in-law to the hospital this morning to advocate for her. She took a fall, was bloodied up, got a knot on her head, needed stitches, and at first, the dr thought she had broken her arm.

At the same time, my disabled son was giving his caregivers holy hell. All of it was going on around me and on the phone while xray techs told me to stay out of the room and and er staff told me I couldn't be on the phone outside the room. I had an unexpected meltdown at that point. Everyone with expectations of me, telling me what to do, etc. Control issues.

I'm sleeping on her couch tonight in case she needs help. She has some dementia exacerbated by pain meds. And now we have a thunderstorm blowing through.

We're hoping we kicked out the ice jams. The faucet may be fixable, and there is a workaround for the temporarily shut-off cold water at the fridge. Fingers crossed.

But I think my appliances and my car take hits for me, so I try to be sanguine about it all.
