We pull up to the orchard pond anxious because we know largemouth are plenty weve caught them here. as we get out of the Tacoma. Grabbing the fly rods as were in a learning curve fly fishing as were diehard ultralight and medium freshwater spinning reel fishing.
Doors open and our 83 pound chocolate rocket goes at a fast limp across the field. And SPLASH! into the pond , my sons and I look at each other. We smile and the thoughts are three of us and we did not hook boog up to his leash.
Boog was like you guys fish Ill swim and basically thats how it worked out. We actually nailed several fatties large mouth bass and several small mouth getting into the rhythm of fly fishing. We hung it up as by 09:30 it was 89 degrees and drenched in sweat.

(17,984 posts)They can't remember second to second if there is a big chocolate lab bearing down on them. Throw a popper in there, though, and they can't resist.
