American trivia, and I NAILED IT first time!

We had a tornado here on Cape Cod 2 days ago. I have NEVER heard of a tornado on Cape Cod! My office in Dallas called to see if we were alright, and one of our guys informed me that Massachusetts had less tornadoes than any other state except two. I was surprised, and without reflecting, asked "which two states have less, Alaska and Rhode Island?" Stunned silence on the other end. "Did you look that up?" "No, I hadn't even known that there were two states with less tornadoes until you told me." Sure enough: Alaska and Rhode Island!

Americans, know your useless facts about America!

And Alaska just may be too big of a target for any self respecting tornado to brag about hitting it.

I can't recall hearing even ONE tornado brag about touching down in Alaska.

Good observation!

If you are still going to be on the Cape next Sunday, the Pan Mass Challenge is rolling through and tying up traffic on 6A all day long...

What I love about the Pan Mass Challenge is that there are many patients of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and their families, friends and random supporters, who turn out along the route to cheer us on, so one can fantasize they are riding Le Tour.

We will be over 4,000 riders strong this year.

And followed by the world's wildest ferry ride back to Boston....

Weather reports may not take longer than 45 seconds on TV or radio, lest they be obsolete by the time they are finished.
