The cleaning up of oceans, and the environment into paying jobs the return to pristine conditions would be solved. I wish governments would get smart about this, and I would be quite happy to have some of my tax dollars used in this way. But I’m thinking that all countries should do this. Or at least the developed ones.

As are the other people who do this with him. I am in awe of people who do things like this. I wish our government would be half as concerned about this problem as he is.

We dove every chance we got to go away to the ocean. Hundreds of dives, it was the best thing in my life. Then we had to stop. I do not remember anything like this. There would be something occasional in most places and the reef had started to die in most places, especially in places like the Big Island Hawaii where the golf courses had killed most of the coastal shell fish. Still finding trash was usually something that happened off of Honduras and some in Belize. In Honduras the trash was horrible, off Guanaja it was surface mostly but some beaches were covered in trash. The diving was not terrible with trash at that time. It amazes me that it could have gotten this horrible in 20 years when we were worried about it even back then.

You know that your dollars are going to some fisherman somewhere who is knowingly or unknowingly using nets and trashing up the ocean.
