A little story about a racist old guy, and me being from Baltimore (or aka "B-More") 26 years ago:
When we first moved here to a little ex-burb just outside Baltimore County, directly across the Mason Dixon Line in PA 25 years ago, I ran into one of our county long-time citizens.
I was sitting on the bench resting for a sec outside of a now closed anchor retailer in a large York shopping mall keeping my three young children entertained while my wife went inside to shop.
Next to me was an older gentleman who asked me where I was from. Thinking he meant to ask where I lived in PA, I proudly replied "Shrewsbury"!
The old guy replied, "you don't want to stay there, the trash from Baltimore are moving up from there!
Being from what I had already known by that point I was often was referred to as being a "baltimoron" (or as they might spell it a; "baltimoran"
I did what any good "baltimoron" would do.
I laughed in his face!
And I've been doing it everyday since!
