Excellent series. I think I'm going to like it...

I'm not willing to pay for a half dozen services. I just resign myself to not watching what might be very worthwhile shows.
(tightens the belt on her robe, shuffles off in her too-big slippers to watch yet another episode of Veronica Mars)

(25,902 posts)Although I will say, that we are truly living in the golden age of television, and I'm including streaming services here.
There are so many good things to watch that none of us should run out of shows to see. Even if (for example) you and I like totally different things, there's still plenty for each of us. I know I watch more than I think I should. I am catching up on older shows all the time. Currently I'm working my way through "Veronica Mars" and liking it a lot. Of course, my idea of binge watching is to watch one episode a day until I'm finally caught up.

Settling into a comfortable groove with the Bartlet White House time after time...

(25,902 posts)That's not one I've gotten into, but I have my own favorites. I think a lot of what makes this such a golden age is that certain series, like "The West Wing" are available to watch over and over. What an improvement over the days of a 39 week series, 13 weeks of reruns, and if you missed an episode too bad. You'd never have another chance to see it.
Things are much better now.

(66,467 posts)We've come a long way from what was previously thought of as the "Golden Age Of Television", with its cardboard sets, Brylcreemed father figures, and laughable dialogue.
