this game was you had to match 2 ends of a bill. They were different denominations; $1, $5, $10, anyway we matched 2 ends of a $5000 bill. Was pretty exciting. Of course we split it. Won other scratch offs. Haven't played in years.

have been lucky. They say you gotta buy if you want to win. But I have known people who got in trouble gambling. You know, moderation. But I do have things in life i should have used moderation with. But fun to think back on.

and $50 multiple times. I don't buy scratchers often so I guess I've been lucky in that regard - I haven't "invested" a lot of money in trying to win. If I added up all the small wins (free tickets , $4 and $5) to the larger ones and subtracted it from the money I've spent on my own scratchers (I've given them as hostess gifts, used as decorative tags on a wrapped gift and as stocking stuffers at Xmas time) it would probably come out to be a net zero.

Once a week on Fri payday I would stop at the same gas station to fill up and buy one for a buck. About half the time, I would win at least $10. It got to be a running joke with the usual attendant, who of course, kept urging me to buy more tickets. I went in one week and he said "last week for Lucky Dog they are retiring it, how many do you want?" I bought 7 - 2 didn't hit, the other 5 bought in @ $500. The highest single ticket was $250. I haven't played scratchers since then. I figured I tapped out that vein of luck.

It felt like a lot of money at the time. I don't buy them that often but sometimes it is fun to buy one. I also won $25 once in a scratch off ticket.
