Something along the lines of Who's Harry Crumb - except he'd have to play a villain, which wasn't Candy's forté.

Still, with a comic talent like his he would've no doubt found a way.

well that brings to mind the portrayal of Jeffrey Wigand in The Insider by Russell Crowe. I also think he'd be believable when it comes to Trump's narcissism and bad temper.

But it depends on the tone of the film. If the film aims for comedy beats (as opposed to pure cringe/dread) then Damon would be better.
