Woman Receives Screenshots Of Fiancés Affair Texts Just Before Wedding, Reads Them Out Instead Of Vows
snip
The texts were dated from months to only days before. My brain simply could not compute WTF was going on. There was no questioning the legitimacy of these messages. I just knew.
I walked down the aisle with leaden feet, my dream dress now just a costume. As he saw my face he knew this was not an ecstatic woman on her big day, but he had no idea what was coming. I arrived at the front of the room, took a big breath and I faced our friends, our parents and I told them the truth about Alex.
There will be no wedding today, I announced

A ripple of shock went through the crowd and Alex tried to grab my hands but I put down my flowers to reveal my phone in my hand. I read every single message she sent me. With each word, more colour left Alexs face.

(62,444 posts)Yeah, I'd file this under "Cool Story, bro", since there would be actual pictures instead of istock-credited stock photos if this were anything approximating a true story. Likewise, one might expect one or more people at a wedding these days to have a social media account.
Funny story, but I give it very little chance of actually being true.

(82,849 posts)It was a friend's sister, who was at the wedding of a good friend. Big, glitzy first wedding befitting two established families in a well-to-do church sanctuary. When the time came to exchange vows, the bride thanked her friends and family for attending, her mother for helping her choose the perfect gown, and her father for walking her down the aisle. Then she turned to her maid of honor and thanked her for fucking her husband-to-be just a couple of nights ago, so she knew what a louse he was and what a two-faced b-word her most trusted friend was. The bride turned and tearfully skedaddled out the side door as her four brothers were working their way out of the pews, heading for the groom, who suddenly remembered he had to return his tux and bolted for the exit door on the other side.
