(28,837 posts)Home? Med. rare, coated with butter garlic salt and pepper on the grill. Slice of American, slice of provolone, fried onions on a very fresh un-toasted bun.

Had neighbors from Hyderabad for several years. The smells coming from Vijaya's kitchen were heavenly.

(14,494 posts)No cheese - trying to get away from plastic cheese, LOL. I can always add a slice of my Havarti or Swiss if I like.
With rings and small shake makes it special......

(22,270 posts)However we have some local burger shops which can hold their own against anybody.
If you are ever in Fort Worth you will want to try:
Tommy's (these folks are also hard core Democrats who are very supportive of club fundraisers and many Democratic group meetings are held at their restaurants) Home made potato chips and pretty good fried okra. Burgers are made with Nolan Ryan extra lean beef. Beer and wine available but it's a small selection.
Kincaid's started in an old grocery store on Camp Bowie I like their burgers but Tommy's are better.
Charlie's is an institution in my neighborhood. Good burgers but legendary for the fresh cut fries and stellar onion rings.
THe new kid in town is Triple B across the street from Texas Wesleyan. Excellent burgers and also excellent Democrats. They also have bar service so you can have a Margarita with your burger.

(55,019 posts)I think I have only tried them a couple times. OK burger, haven't figured out what the deal or best items are. drinks are too small.
the latest thing I have discovered (that isn't new) has been Carls Jr's jalapeño double cheeseburgers. never liked that place before due to bad experience with effing bbq sauce on burgers - an abomination, but found out they have fried zucchini and so I sometimes stop by for a snack, then noticed the burger on the menu and tried it. pretty good!
