(25,862 posts)It is completely rude for people to take their dogs everywhere. And DON'T try to pass this one off as a service dog, because no service dog behaves like that, and if it's an emotional support dog, where's the human it's supposed to be emotionally supporting.
Leave your dog home.

(25,862 posts)They are a problem in my neighborhood, and I'm beginning to understand why people will do terrible things to such dogs.
I find a dog barking for hours on end to be less than pleasant, to say the very least. Don't the owners hear them? Are they all deaf? To them is the sound of barking sort of like listening to an opera, not something to be enjoyed by all but something they like? And even then, most opera lovers would not play their favorite opera at high volume.
One thing I must say about cats is that at least you can't hear them meowing a block away.
So to answer your question, I've gotten so I REALLY dislike dogs. I do not want to listen to them barking. I do not want to share restaurant space with them. If I have the good sense to leave my cat or my parakeet or my hedgehog at home, than you can leave your stupid dog at home. Trust me, not everyone adores your dog as much as you do. And most of us especially don't want to listen to the barking or howling.

(25,862 posts)Either way, endless barking is a lot less than fun. And it's just astonishing that cats don't seem to behave this way. Is it just the cats? Or just the owners? You decide.
