Good grief. I was just channel-hopping & HSN has a Christmas tree up. Give me a break.

Okay, I can see advertising holiday crap on late-night teevee when it takes 6-8 weeks for delivery stuff like "Burl Ives Greatest Christmas Hits" by Ronco or some such nonsense, but HSN?!? Come on, they deliver crap you order in a week. Can't they at least wait until after Halloween to break out the tinsel?

I guess I'm getting too old and cranky.

but since Christmas is a winter war, then you reverse it and break in the summer.

It's basic science.

Walmart over the past two weeks and almost no summer stuff left. They are stocking the shelves for Christmas. Oh well. On the other hand I did get a decent deal on a grill at Home Depot.

Fake ones, not real. This was the one closest to the U.S. Capitol. It doesn't have a garden center.

Couldn't believe it. Joked with the guy at check out that I would never come back. He laughed, and asked me to please tell that to a manager. He said the employees were all upset when they were told at the end of September that they were going to begin putting out trees and decorations to "get ahead of the competition." He said they were all dreaded the first time they hear "rump a pum pum."
