(15,382 posts)2. When I lived in an apartment
My fellow residents and I went to the local animal shelters to get trap boxes so we could catch the various feral cats that lived around the place so we could take them to get spayed/neutered before releasing them again (some neighbors tamed them into pets, and I also caught and kept two kittens living under my patio). One morning I woke up to a very pissed off opossum trapped in the box. I've been told they don't bite unless REALLY provoked, but the teeth were enough for me to not try to reach in and grab the big dude. I left the gate open, but he wouldn't leave until I started moderately gently squirting him with a hose. He liked to visit and walk around on the top of my patio fence.

the door. This mama didn't make any noise.
