I hope Saul Goodman's story gets wrapped up within a decade or so.

It works as a continuation of Breaking Bad. I thought it was beautifully done.

But if this would have been my first introduction to Jessie Pinkman I would not have understood it as much.

and the expression on his face is pure Walter....

There are some breath taking desert scenes, also.
Gilligan is marvelous at lights, and colors, I watched Breaking Bad again just to note how the scenes were set up.
He had talked about how each key actor had their own colors thru out the series...Marie Schrader, Hanks wife, had purple color theme, for instance.

Now we have to wait another year for Saul to return....sigh.

I noticed as he was looking around in the dark apartment, Jesse's light changed from the yellow of the lighter's flame to the blue of the flashlight's glow.

and milking the cash cow as long as humanly possible. Remember these are the same folks who took the X-Files and beat it into ground rather than have it come to any kind of logical, satisfying conclusion.

I loved the first couple of seasons of BCS - eg Jimmy's Chicago roots, the Kettlemans, his thing with Kim etc. - but its kind of devolving into tiresome Breaking Bad rehash .... sad to say.

Without going into any specifics, it didn’t do anything that diminished the original series in any way, and that’s what I wanted.

Of course Vince Gilligain has done such a good job with Better Call Saul so I figured it was in very good hands.
