The Movies! TV Network is pulling out all the stops.

They showed the original Invasion of the Body Snatchers last night. What a great movie. If Don Siegel had never directed another movie as long as he lived, this alone would be sufficient to have established his reputation. Oh, his birthday is coming up next week. I'll have to make a note of that.

Tonight, Movies! is showing Soylent Green, The Bad Seed, and The Haunting, one right after the other.

Movies!

I've never seen The Haunting. I hear it's a classic.

The Haunting is a 1963 American supernatural psychological horror film directed and produced by Robert Wise and adapted by Nelson Gidding from the novel The Haunting of Hill House (1959) by Shirley Jackson. It stars Julie Harris, Claire Bloom, Richard Johnson, and Russ Tamblyn. The film depicts the experiences of a small group of people invited by a paranormal investigator to investigate a purportedly haunted house.

Robert Wise also gave us such films as The Day the Earth Stood Still and The Sound of Music.
